Savannah Guthrie is the Today news anchor. She is currently recovering from a sore throat
and hence is co-anchoring for NBC from her house.
During today’s episode with Hoda Kotb, Savannah joked that she has learned a new skill
during the quarantine.
The anchor mentioned that the producer of Today asked her if she has acquired any new skill
during the social-distancing, she replied with a ‘No, except for I am auditioning to be an
Savannah joked about this and after that shared a video of her children playing around. Both
children, her son Charlie (3) and daughter Vale (5) were showing off their gymnastic skills
in it. Savannah took the opportunity to improve her sportscaster skills.
In the video, she is seen announcing the gymnastic abilities of her children. She expertly
announces her children’s movements. ‘And now, for his final routine, Cool Charley runs to
the trampoline. Let’s see what he can do’. She kept on motivating her son Charley to show-
off, ‘Such artistry’.
When it was Vale’s turn to play on the trampoline. Savannah anchored ‘stepping up in the 5-
year-old category: Vale Feldman’. She kept on encouraging her daughter by saying that she
has got grace and elegance. And that she is ‘incredible’. In the end, she said ‘Will she attempts
her world-famous star pose in the air?’
After the video aired, Hoda applauded for the children. In addition to this, Savannah
mentioned how relieved she is about the purchase of the trampoline. ‘It’s cold outside, it
burns up some energy’.
Unfortunately, for the anchor, there is bad news. The 2020 Olympics have been postponed
due to the COVID-19. It has been revealed in an official statement from the International
Olympic Committee that the games will take place in 2021.
The Committee has taken all the circumstances in consideration and the information given by
the WHO, and have decided to postpone the Olympic Games for the safety of everyone.
